QSC AD-S402T AcousticDesign 4-Driver Column Surface Mount Speaker

The AD-S402T from QSC’s AcousticDesign series is a column surface-mount loudspeaker consisting of four weather-treated 2.75″ transducers. It’s ideal in foreground and background sound reinforcement situations utilizing 70/100V or 16Ω bypass configurations. Among its many features, Intrinsic Correction™ voicings can be deployed to optimize installation and performance. Additionally, the AD-S402T uses a Progressive Taper Topology™ (PTT) network to create a passive curvature of the array line, reducing side-lobing problems and equipping you for precise and consistent directivity control.

The AD-S402T’s low-loss, low-saturation 30-watt transformer offers selectable taps (including 16Ω bypass) and incorporates a rotary selector behind the sealed input cover plate. A removable wire sealing gland nut on the input cover plate enables direct cable attachments to a locking 4-pole Euro-style connector for added security of the wire terminations.

Myriad mounting options make the AD-S402T a versatile surface mount option for a wide variety of environments. Its unique pan/tilt mounting system offers multiple positioning locations, enabling you to keep the speaker close to the wall while achieving a downward tilt of up to -20°. The tilt section of the mount can also be removed when it’s not needed, letting you install the speaker even closer to the wall. The mount includes a zero pan locking screw in consideration of wind load conditions, as well as a shoulder eyebolt to provide a safety tether anchor point.

AcousticDesign speakers are free of obtrusive branding. They’re available in black or white, as well as paintable to match any décor. In addition to rugged ABS enclosures characteristic of AcousticDesign speakers, the AD-S402T boasts sealed input panel covers, weather-resistant powder-coated aluminum construction, and stainless steel hardware to exceed IEC60529 IP-54 ratings for dust and splash resistance.
